Hans-Otto Keunecke

Hans-Otto Keunecke (born July 6, 1945 in Peine ) is a German librarian.

Life

Keunecke studied German , history and geography at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen and became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Erlangen in 1968 . After the state examination (1973) and the doctorate (1976) for Dr. phil. he entered the higher library service. He was a trainee lawyer at the Bavarian Library School and the University Library Erlangen-Nuremberg . After passing his specialist examination in 1978, he joined the university library, whose manuscript department he headed from 1987 to 1997. From 1998 until his retirement (2009) he was (executive) library director. From 1994 to 2006 he was also director of the Ansbach State Library .
