Hans-Otto Schmiedeberg
Hans-Otto Schmiedeberg (born July 10, 1959 in Boltenhagen ) is a German politician. From November 10, 1994 to October 26, 1998, he was a member of the German Bundestag for one electoral term and was elected to the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) through a direct mandate in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
Life
Schmiedeberg attended the polytechnic school and then trained as a sailor. After the end he went to Rostock to study there. As a designer he became department head of a shipyard in Wismar. Schmiedeberg joined the Boltenhagen municipal council in 1990 and the CDU three years later. In the following federal election in 1994 Schmiedeberg was elected to the German Bundestag in the constituency of Wismar - Gadebusch - Grevesmühlen - Doberan - Bützow . As a full member of the Committee on Education, Science, Research and Technology, he was a member of the Bundestag for four years.
