Hans-Peter Brachmanski

Hans-Peter Brachmanski (born August 31, 1957 in Erfurt ) is an author of local history books on the local history of the city of Erfurt, its surroundings and places in the south of Brandenburg . He was Erfurt city council in the political upheaval of 1989/90.

He is a collector of historical graphics and postcards with Thuringia motifs and publishes on this, freelance press employee for local and national newspapers (e.g. Lausitzer Rundschau as well as the Schlesische Nachrichten and Brandenburger Rundschau published by associations of expellees ). From 1990 to 2002 he also regularly published articles on the history of the city in the daily newspapers Thüringer Allgemeine and Thüringische Landeszeitung . He was or is an active member of the Thuringian Numismatic Society and the Goethe Society in Weimar. He also has an extensive private collection with a bibliophile-numismatic focus.

He is the editor of the periodical Neuer Erfurter Stadtbote and wrote for the journal Erfurter Bürgerstimme, which was classified as right-wing extremist in the 2007 report by the Free State of Thuringia . In connection with his work in the Erfurt district association of the Association of Expellees, a special proximity to the chairman of the NPD district association Erfurt-Sömmerda, Kai-Uwe Trinkaus, and other NPD and JN members became public in 2007 . He also showed himself with these in connection with a trial against a ver.di secretary in January 2008.
