Hans-Peter Schwöbel

Hans-Peter Schwöbel (born November 2, 1945 in Buchen (Odenwald) ) is a German sociologist and cabaret artist.

Until 2010 he was Professor of Sociology at the Federal University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Mannheim and is the author of numerous publications on pedagogical and sociological topics.

All around the city of Mannheim , Schwöbel is known above all for his Palatinate dialect poems and performances as a cabaret artist . In 2005 he received the Bloomaulorden, the highest civic award in Mannheim.

The city of Freinsheim awarded him the Hermann Sinsheimer plaque in 2012 for his services to regional, Electoral Palatinate literature.
