Hans-Raimund Deppe

Hans-Raimund Deppe (also Hans Deppe ; * December 21, 1945 ) is a German physicist and manager.

Life

Hans-Raimund Deppe studied physics at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster and received his doctorate there in 1974 on the subject of the influence of sulfur vacancies on the electrical properties of polycrystalline CdS layers . He then worked for the semiconductor division of Siemens at locations in Europe and Asia for 22 years . Among other things, he was responsible for research and development as well as for production and quality management.

In 1997 he became General Manager for the semiconductor manufacturer AMD Saxony in Dresden . He was responsible for the construction of the plant and the entire production and development at AMD's European location. During this time the Dresden location developed into one of the leading semiconductor centers in Europe ( Silicon Saxony ). In 2009 Deppe left the company.

In 2010 Deppe was awarded the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his commitment to the sustainable development of the semiconductor and technology location Saxony and Germany.
