Hans-Rudolf Bachmann

Hans-Rudolf Bachmann (born April 8, 1950 ) is an evangelical reformed pastor, book author, retreat leader and painter.

Life

Bachmann studied Protestant theology. He then worked as a pastor in Payerne and Güttingen . 1989–2002 he was theological assistant at the Sinnhotel Scesaplana in Seewis , which belonged to the God helps foundation . Exegesis , counseling and seminars were among his main tasks. The first books on the subjects of Bible reading and suffering were created to offer people orientation and support in everyday life. From 2000 to 2005 he trained as a retreat leader in order to better accompany people spiritually. He was also a speaker at the Swiss Contemplation Network . 2003 to 2013 worked again as pastor in Othmarsingen in the canton of Aargau . Since 2011 he has been a member of the third order of the Diakonissenhaus Riehen community , where he also lives and works. He also writes thematic articles for the Christian magazine insist , for example on beauty .

Private

He is married to Kathrin Schaub, they have four grown sons and live in Riehen .
