Albiez learned organ building from Schaxel in Herbolzheim from 1825 to 1830 . In 1834 he received the organ building license and opened his own workshop in Waldshut in 1839. Organologists Theodor Wohnhaas and Hermann Fischer consider his organ works to be remarkable.
