Hans-Urs Wanner

Hans-Urs Wanner (born June 7, 1933 in Zurich ; † May 20, 2019 ) was a Swiss occupational and environmental scientist .

Wanner was in 1965 when Etienne Grandjean at the ETH Zurich for Dr. sc. nat. doctorate and habilitation on October 1, 1969 for technical and pharmaceutical hygiene . In 1981 he was appointed adjunct professor. From this year on, Wanner built up the environmental hygiene department at the Institute for Hygiene and Occupational Physiology at ETH Zurich, which was closed in 2001. From 1997 he was retired.

Wanner was President of the Federal Commission for Air Hygiene . From 1991 to 1998 he presided over the Swiss Solar Jury. For this commitment, Wanner received the honorary solar prize.
