Hans Bluethgen

Hans Blüthgen (born March 3, 1885 in Leipzig ; † August 21, 1966 in Borsdorf near Leipzig) was a German architect and painter.

Life

The von Blüthgen family came from Zörbig . From 1914 he lived in Borsdorf near Leipzig and worked in Leipzig. In the 1930s and 1940s he was a building officer and lecturer there at the State Building School for Civil Engineering. He was co-editor of the Ostdeutsche Bau-Zeitung and published on Leipzig's architectural history.

As a painter he painted landscapes and architectural depictions and exhibited at local exhibitions such as the 5th, 7th and 8th Wurzen Art Exhibition in 1939, 1941 and 1942 and the Art Exhibition of the Grimma District in 1938 in Coldiz, Grimma and Wurzen.

He was married to Anna Mühlig (1888–1969), the daughter of the painter Hugo Mühlig (1854–1929), whose part he managed.
