Hans Boeckh-Behrens

Hans Karl August Boeckh-Behrens (born November 27, 1898 in Wernigerode ; † February 13, 1955 in prisoner-of-war camp 5110/48 Woikowo near Iwanowo , Soviet Union ) was a German lieutenant general in World War II .

Life

Boeckh-Behrens served as an officer in the First World War . After the war he switched to the Reichswehr and worked as a commander and general staff officer in various units. In the Wehrmacht he led the 32nd Infantry Division as commander during the Second World War and received the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on December 9, 1944

He died on February 13, 1955 as a Soviet prisoner of war in the prisoner of war camp 5110/48 Woikowo and was buried in a general cemetery in Cherntsy.
