Hans Boskamp (pseudonym of Johannes Hendricus Gerardus Hoelscher , born May 7, 1932 in Rotterdam , † March 22, 2011 in Dordrecht ) was a Dutch football player and actor .

Career

Hans Boskamp was born in Rotterdam as the son of the actor and singer Johan Boskamp . He first became known as a football player at Ajax Amsterdam and appeared for the national team four times .

After leaving school, Boskamp studied law; then he worked at a bank. From 1960 he worked as an actor, first in the theater at the side of his father. He later appeared in various television series, for example in the historical youth series Floris as Grutte Pier , in the musical series Ja zuster, nee zuster as a Greek guest worker (a guest role in which he sang the popular song Stroei-voei ) and later in the Comedy series Op Pass !!! as Jopie the pimp . In the Dutch version of Sesamstrasse (Sesamstraat) , he dubbed Oskar curmudgeony's dialogues. He also played a magazine boss in Turks fruit ( Turkish fruits ) and appeared in 1994 as father Doolittle in the Dutch version of My Fair Lady .

In 2008, his health deteriorated due to a strep infection . In March 2011, Boskamp died at the age of 78 from a cerebral infarction in a hospital in his home town of Dordrecht.
