Hans Burren (born December 3, 1915 in Bern , † June 10, 1979 in Thun , reformed , resident in Köniz ) was a Swiss politician (BGB) .

Life

Hans Burren was born on December 3, 1915 in Bern as the son of the commercial teacher Ernst Erwin Burren and Marie-born Schenk. From 1944 onwards, Burren worked as a main teacher at the commercial vocational school in Thun, which he was in charge of from 1965 to 1978.

Hans Burren was married to Alice nee Roth. He died on June 10, 1979, six months after he was 63 years old in Thun.

Political career

Hans Burren, member of the Farmers, Trade and Citizens' Party (BGB), began his political career in 1950 in the town council of Thun, of which he was a member until 1966. There he played a key role in the development of the municipal training centers in the role of headmaster. In addition, he represented his party in the Bernese Grand Council from 1954 to 1960 , and then in the National Council until 1963 . Most recently, he was president of the Bernese Civil Code from 1966 to 1971.
