meaning
Hans Davidsson is considered an important representative of early music , although he was added in the last phase of the faithful interpretation. He took part in the integration phase of research and practice in Gothenburg and today assumes that specific compositions such as North German, Italian and so on include matching organs. Works of the North German Baroque, such as those by Matthias Weckmann and Dietrich Buxtehude, owe him their faithful rediscovery and performance in a historical context. Since the 1980s he has made numerous CD recordings.
In addition, he has shaped and continues to shape organist training as a teacher at major music colleges since the late 1980s.
Davidsson is looking for new ways of conveying classical concerts, relying on a combination of conversation and making music.
