Hans Dierck Waller

Hans Dierck Waller (born May 29, 1926 in Kiel ; † July 23, 2013 in Tübingen ) was a German physician who worked as a hematologist and oncologist .

Waller received his doctorate in 1951 from the University of Kiel. In 1960 he completed his habilitation at the University of Marburg , which was followed by a two-year teaching activity in Marburg. Since 1963 he has taught and researched at the University of Tübingen . In 1966 he became an associate professor there, and in 1970 a full professor of internal medicine. In 1988 he received an honorary doctorate from the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . Waller wrote numerous papers on his subject.

He was married to Friederike Waller and had five children.
