Hans Dionys Dossenbach

Hans Dionys Dossenbach (born February 29, 1936 in Diessenhofen , Canton Thurgau ) is a Swiss writer and wildlife photographer.

biography

In 1955, Hans Dossenbach began to photograph animals while studying at the Institute for Behavioral Research in Vienna. He learned animal photography self-taught. In 1956 he broke off his studies and became a journalist for the Zürcher Tages-Anzeiger and the Neue Zürcher Zeitung . His photo articles have appeared in magazines such as GEO , Kosmos and Das Tier . In 1982 he was named one of the world's ten best wildlife photographers by American Book Publishing New York. Since the 1960s Dossenbach has been going on numerous photo safaris around the world. So far, more than 49 illustrated books with his fascinating photos have been published. In addition, he and his wife Monika wrote successful books on horses and horse breeding. The couple lives in Siblingen near Schaffhausen .
