Hans Dollinger

Hans Dollinger (born February 5, 1929 in Biberach an der Riss ) is a German writer and non-fiction author.

Dollinger was initially a bookseller and then became a journalist. From 1958 to 1962 he worked as an editor for the magazine Die Kultur , then he moved to Munich, where he worked as a lecturer and freelance author. Dollinger mainly published popular science books on contemporary history.

In 1958 he met Oskar Maria Graf . After Graf died in 1967, Dollinger published several books about the writer. In 1975 he began to publish an 18-volume Graf work edition. Together with the Bavarian State Library , Dollinger developed an exhibition on Oskar Maria Graf, which was presented in 32 cities from 1977 to 1988. In 1992 he was a co-founder and until 2008 a member of the board of the Oskar Maria Graf Society.

Dollinger became a member of the Association of German Writers and a member of the PEN Center . In 2004 the city of Munich awarded him the medal Munich shines in silver for special services to the Bavarian capital .
