Hans Erich Wilhelm Eichmann (born May 21, 1888 in Rudnitsch , Wongrowitz district; † February 7, 1987 in Velten near Berlin) was a German painter between impressionism and modernism.

Life

Eichmann grew up on an estate where his father, Ferdinand Eichmann, was the administrator. Hans Eichmann began to reproduce drawings early on, sought the acquaintance of two painters in Stettin, and began a traineeship in this graphic arts establishment there. He then worked for a year as a tutor for the children of the Senfft von Pilsach family in Batzwitz in Pomerania. From 1910 to 1913 he prepared as a private student with the painter Wilhelm Müller-Schönefeld in his Berlin studio for a career as a drawing teacher. He passed the entrance examination to study, but was not able to complete his studies until 1922 as a result of the events of the First World War and then got a job as a drawing teacher in Velten, near Berlin. From 1926 to 1927 he completed a free course of study at the State Art Academy in Berlin-Schöneberg, graduating as a teacher in order to work as a teacher for art and drawing.

On January 14, 1927, he married Katharina Mann from Prenzlau. Hans Eichmann frequented a. a. friendly with the artists Hans Hartig , Arthur Bracki, Wilhelm Tank , Rudolf Wernitz.

In 1945, in the last days of the Second World War , the artistic work that had been relocated to Prenzlau was destroyed by acts of war. After 1945 Hans Eichmann worked as a freelance painter.
