Hans Feindt

Hans Feindt (born October 3, 1920 in Tocopilla , Chile ; † June 12, 2012 ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Feindt completed an apprenticeship as a gardener in fruit growing and then attended the technical college. From 1939 to 1945 he was a participant in the Second World War , then a reserve officer. In 1951 he passed his master craftsman's examination and took over his father's fruit growing business in Jork .

Feindt was a co-founder of the Jork local branch of the CDU in 1963 and became its chairman. In the state elections in 1963, he stood for the first time for the constituency of Buxtehude / Altes Land as a candidate for the Lower Saxony state parliament in the fifth electoral term, but was initially unable to prevail against the candidate of the SPD. The entry into the Lower Saxony state parliament succeeded in the 6th to 9th electoral term, so that he was a member of the state parliament from 1967 to 1982, from 1978 as deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. He was a member of the NDR - Broadcasting Council .

In 1980 Hans Feindt was awarded the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .

Hans Feindt was married and had four daughters.
