The constituency of Buxtehude is an electoral district for the Lower Saxony state parliament . From the district of Stade, it includes the town of Buxtehude , the municipality of Jork and the joint municipalities of Apensen , Harsefeld , Horneburg and Lühe .

history

In the state elections from 1947 to 1978, the constituency was number 65 in Lower Saxony's constituencies. For the state elections from 1982 to 1998, it had the number 69 and for the state elections in 2003 it was electoral district number 67. Since the state elections in 2008, it has had the electoral district number 55.

The constituency area has changed over the years of its existence. The area of ​​the integrated municipality of Fredenbeck changed to the constituency of Stade in the 1998 state election and has not been part of the Buxtehude constituency since then.
