The constituency of Soltau is an electoral district for the Lower Saxony state parliament . It is located in the north of the Heidekreis district and includes the cities of Soltau , Munster and Schneverdingen and the communities of Bispingen and Neuenkirchen . The constituency is divided into 88 electoral districts.
history
Until the state elections in 2003, the municipality of Wietzendorf was part of the constituency. This corresponded to the former district of Soltau .
At the beginning the constituency carried constituency number 52 for a longer period of time. In the elections from 1982 to 1998 it was elected under constituency number 57; After further reforms of the classification, it was number 55 in 2003 and has been number 44 since 2008.

For the state election in Lower Saxony in 2013 on January 20, 2013, eight direct candidates ran in the constituency of Soltau. Lutz Winkelmann (CDU) was directly elected .
