For the early state elections in Lower Saxony in 2017 , there were no individual applications in constituency 077 Osnabrück-Ost, but 15 state lists, five of which with direct candidates.

Frank Henning (SPD) was able to defend the direct mandate with 40.10% against Anette Meyer zu Strohen (CDU). However, through the state list, she succeeded in entering the state parliament, to which she had belonged until 2013.

For the state election in Lower Saxony in 2013 , there were no individual applicants and seven direct candidates from parties in the Osnabrück-Ost constituency, all of them except the MDU with an attached state nomination.
