Gustav Bosselmann
Gustav Bosselmann (born May 18, 1915 in Schülernbrockhof ; † September 15, 1991 in Schneverdingen ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).
Life and work
Bosselmann was born the son of a farmer. From 1929 on he was a member of the Hitler Youth ; he was awarded the golden decoration of the Hitler Youth. From January 1, 1933, he was a member of the SA .
After attending elementary school and graduating from high school in 1933 at the Reformrealgymnasium in Uelzen , he initially did voluntary work. He then studied law and political science at the universities of Tübingen and Göttingen . He passed the first state law examination in 1938, but had to interrupt his training because he was drafted into the Wehrmacht that same year . From 1939 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier , first as a tank grenadier and finally as a captain and battalion chief.
After the end of the war, Bosselmann worked on his parents' farm, which was characterized by cattle breeding. He continued his legal preparatory service in 1949, passed the second state law examination in 1951 and then worked as an associate lawyer in Soltau . In 1952 he was admitted to the bar and in 1957 as a notary.
politics
On May 1, 1937, Bosselmann applied for admission to the NSDAP and became a party member (party candidate card No. 27247).
After the war, Bosselmann joined the CDU, had been a councilor in Schneverdingen since 1957, and was mayor of the community from 1959 to 1976. He was also a member of the Soltau district . In 1963 he moved to the Lower Saxony state parliament as a member of parliament . From 1968 to 1974 he was deputy chairman of the CDU Lower Saxony .
After the formation of a grand coalition , Bosselmann was appointed Lower Saxony Minister of Justice to the government of Lower Saxony led by Prime Minister Georg Diederichs on May 19, 1965. “ When his appointment became known, his personal files disappeared within hours in the Higher Regional Court of Celle, secured with a direct line to the police Safe. With the constitution of an SPD sole government, he resigned from the ministerial office on July 8, 1970 and was replaced in this position by Hans Schäfer .
After Ernst Albrecht was elected Prime Minister, Bosselmann was appointed Minister of the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior on May 12, 1976 . However, due to the formation of a Christian-Liberal coalition , he resigned on January 19, 1977 from the office of Minister of the Interior, whose successor was the FDP politician Rötger Groß .
