Hans Ficker
Hans Gerhard Ficker (born July 20, 1897 in Strasbourg ; † February 2, 1968 in Mainz ) was a German lawyer .
Career
In 1925 he received his doctorate from the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg under Max Fleischmann . From 1927 to 1939 he worked in the Reich Ministry of Justice . Under Fleischmann as general secretary he was from 1930 to 1934 under- general secretary of the League of Nations Institute for the Unification of Private Law in Rome . In 1937 he became a consultant for civil law and international private law . From 1939 to 1945 he was Reich Cabinet Councilor in the Reich Chancellery .
In 1952 he completed his habilitation at the University of Mainz . There he became associate professor and professor in 1955 . In 1965 he retired .
