Hans Friedrich (politician, 1909)

Hans Friedrich (born January 4, 1909 in Hamburg , † March 15, 1982 in Munich ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

The Friedrichs family moved to Neustadt an der Waldnaab in 1911 . There he attended elementary and advanced training school and trained as a plumber with his father . After taking the assistant examination, he was a journeyman in his father's company before opening his own plumber and installation business on August 1, 1935. In 1936 he finally passed the master craftsman examination. From 1940 he served as a soldier in World War II . Until September 1949 he was a Soviet prisoner of war . At the beginning of 1950 his shop reopened. In 1952 he was elected to the city council of Neustadt an der Waldnaab, where he was parliamentary group leader of the SPD. From 1954 to 1970 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . Friedrich was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit on December 7, 1964 .
