Hans Gatt
Hans Gatt (* 1958 in Ellbögen ) is an Austrian long-distance musher who lives in Canada in the Yukon Territory .
Gatt is the first musher to win the Yukon Quest three times in a row. With the victory in the Yukon Quest 2010 Gatt undercut the old record time of Sebastian Schnülle by 23 hours and has now set it to 9 days and 26 minutes.
With his fourth win in 2010, he caught up with Lance Mackey , who also won the Yukon Quest four times. In the same year he finished second behind Mackey in the Iditarod .
At the beginning of 2018, Gatt was shown on 3sat in the episode Alaska Highway - Pioneer Route into the Wilderness of the documentary series Reisen in distant worlds .
