Hans Häusle

Hans Häuslé (born September 26, 1889 in Zurich ; † April 16, 1944 there ) was a Swiss artist who primarily made etchings . His work deals with biblical motifs and is in the context of the bibliophile circles in Zurich, for which graphic artists and bookbinders worked.

Life

Häusle studied at the Zurich School of Applied Arts and then worked for the Orell Füssli company , traveling to Italy from 1909 to 1910 and Germany from 1916 to 1919. He was a member and treasurer of the Kunstverein Zürich. Rosel Häusle-Leiser donated parts of the estate to the city archive of Schaffhausen .
