Hans Hass Award
The Hans Hass Award has been presented by the Historical Diving Society (USA) since 2003 to outstanding personalities who are concerned with the exploration, protection and preservation of the oceans . The undoped honorary award is named after the diving pioneer and marine researcher Hans Hass .
The award has been sponsored by the Swiss manufacturer of diving watches, Blancpain , since 2013 and is called the Hans Hass Fifty Fathoms Award .

- 2014: Weicheng Cui (China), marine researcher and designer of Jiaolong
- 2016: Howard Hall and Michele Hall (USA), underwater filmmakers
- 2018: Franz Brümmer (Germany), scientist and President of the Association of German Recreational Divers VDST.
