Hans Helmut Stoiber

Hans Helmut Stoiber (born October 11, 1918 in Zell am See ; † January 10, 2015 ) was an Austrian conservationist and poet.

Life

At the age of 17, Stoiber wrote the sonnet " Der Diskus " for the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 as a middle school student , with which he won the bronze medal . The literary Olympic art competitions were held in these games in addition to the poetry in the epic . Stoiber's poem was also printed in the large-format "Olympia Zeitung" in Berlin in 1936 . The bronze medal and the Olympic diploma were awarded to him in the Olympic Stadium .

After Stoiber graduated from the Stiftsgymnasium Kremsmünster , he studied law at the University of Vienna , where he received his doctorate in 1949. He worked as a judge from 1950 to 1953 and again from 1965 to 1970. He was a lawyer from 1953 to 1965 and a public prosecutor from 1965 to 1970. In addition, he was committed to nature conservation as a biologist and botanist. In 1981 he was one of the founders of the Hohe Tauern National Park .
