Hans III. Göler of Ravensburg

Hans III. Göler von Ravensburg (* November 8, 1526 - November 19, 1601 ) comes from the Göler von Ravensburg family , an old noble family from Kraichgau that belonged to the Swabian Imperial Knighthood and whose ancestral seat, the Ravensburg , is near Sulzfeld in Baden-Württemberg .

Hans III. was the ninth of 14 children of Albrecht VI. Göler von Ravensburg and Dorothea von Liebenstein. He was married to Anna-Maria von Gemmingen-Gemmingen († 1576) since 1553 . Among the couple's six children were the sons Wolfgang (died childless) and Hans Friedrich , who continued the sex.

Life

He was a Württemberg vassal , author of the first Göler family chronicle from 1298 to 1600 and builder of the knight's house on the Ravensburg, which was later referred to as Bernhard's Castle and of which the Rabenkeller still exists today.

The epitaph for Hans III. Göler von Ravensburg and his wife are in the evangelical church in Sulzfeld in a niche on the east wall next to the door to the sacristy: It shows a relief representation of the crucified with the life-size, kneeling family of the founders, above a resurrection scene in the essay.
