Hans Joachim Sedelmeier (born July 19, 1904 in Zehlendorf near Berlin , † April 30, 1971 in Hanover ) was a German painter.

Life

He was the youngest son of the Lindau architect Jakob Sedelmeier (1861–1929) (in the office with Johann Hoeniger ). His childhood friend was Julius Posener , whom he had met at the neighboring Fritz Crzellitzer . In 1933 he married Ursula Kaufmann (1910–1989), with whom he had three daughters. After he had painted a picture of Hitler and had to overhear the shootings of June 30th in the cadet institute in Lichterfelde, his enthusiasm for Hitler had faded in 1934.

Hansjochen Sedelmeier had been based in Lindau since 1945 , where he portrayed Ludwig Kick's daughter . In August 1964 "The Complete Works" was exhibited in the lounge in the old town hall.
