Hans Joachim Ilgner

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hans Joachim Ilgner (born May 28, 1933 in Saarau , Silesia , † September 16, 2010 in Recklinghausen ) was a German publisher and editor-in-chief of the weekly newspaper Der Schlesier .

After his childhood in Silesia, Ilgner and his family first found a home in Bavaria. In 1951 Recklinghausen became the family's new residence.

Ilgner's father had already founded a publishing house in 1949 , which he then continued after his death in 1973. The weekly newspaper Der Schlesier , which appeared there at that time, was a welcome source of information for the displaced from this region.

Due to the national tone of the weekly newspaper, the Silesian Landsmannschaft broke away from the magazine as a news organ in 1985. The protection of the constitution of North Rhine-Westphalia writes on its website u. a .: "The main topics of this publication are the classic historical and territorial revisionism, aspects of which include the denial of the National Socialist regime's guilt for the outbreak of the Second World War (war guilt lie) and a relativization of the crimes of the Third Reich (historical revisionism)."
