Hans Kaufmann (painter)
Hans Kaufmann (born December 21, 1862 in Hohenschwangau ; † August 12, 1949 in Traunstein ) was a German painter and illustrator . After attending the arts and crafts school in Munich and the Academy of Fine Arts , he became a teacher at the women's academy of the Munich Artists' Association . He lived as a freelance painter in Ruhpolding from 1889 to 1913, and in Traunstein from 1913 until his death. He painted portraits, made craft designs and illustrations (including for the Flying Leaves ).
