Hans Kaufmann (politician, 1871)
Hans Kaufmann (born January 7, 1871 in Lucerne , † December 20, 1940 in Solothurn ) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).
Kaufmann studied from 1890 to 1895 (among others Carl Hilty ) jurisprudence . From 1910 to 1937 he was a member of the government of the Canton of Solothurn ; under him the cantonal unemployment insurance law came into being in 1926. In 1914 he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Zurich .
Kaufmann found his final resting place in the St. Katharinen cemetery in Feldbrunnen-St. Niklaus .
