Hans Kohler (politician, 1896)

Hans Kohler (born January 25, 1896 in Würzburg , † August 13, 1970 ) was a German social democratic politician.

Kohler was a farm worker, metal worker and later a social security employee. Since 1922 he was a member of the SPD and at times the chief cashier and chairman of the Velbert local association . From 1929 to 1933 he was also city councilor for this city.

Even after the Second World War, Kohler was local association chairman in 1945 and 1946. In 1946 he was mayor for a few months. Kohler had been a city councilor since 1945.

Kohler was a member of the appointed Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia in 1946 and 1947 . Afterwards he was directly elected member of parliament for the constituency of Düsseldorf - Mettmann -Ost in the first electoral term until 1950 .
