Hans Kraus-Huebner

Hans Kraus-Hübner , artist name Art Forland , (born October 15, 1941 in Opole ) is a German composer .

Life

At the age of 10 he learned to play the accordion himself and wrote his first compositions for this instrument. At the age of 14 he received piano lessons and after high school he studied school music at the Musikhochschule in Munich . After this degree, he studied musicology at the University of Regensburg with a teaching position for counterpoint .

During his teaching activity in Altdorf, he organized a number of jazz courses in cooperation with the MJD (Musical Youth in Germany) and performed with the rock-jazz formation "Ex Ovo Pro", in which the saxophonist Klaus Kreuzeder originally also took part in jazz festivals (including at the Burghausen Jazz Festival ).
