Hans Legath

Hans Legath (* 1928 in Kolbermoor , Free State of Bavaria ) is a former German football player who played three seasons for FC Bayern Munich in the Oberliga Süd .

Career

Track and field athlete

Legath has been part of the athletics department of SV DJK Kolbermoor since 1938 . He was a member of the 4 by 100 meter and 4 by 400 meter relay . In 1949 he won the German Junior Championship in the pentathlon , in 1950 in the triple jump .

Soccer player

During his student days he was a striker for FC Bayern Munich . For Bayern he scored 44 goals in 98 competitive games; 12 in 54 league games, two in two games in the competition for the South German Cup and 30 in 42 friendly games. Already in the 1951/52 season, he was part of the FC Bayern Munich squad, in 1952 he was only used in seven friendlies, in which he scored ten goals.

In the 1952/53 season he played his first ten point games in the Oberliga Süd, the top German division at the time, in which he scored six goals. He made his debut on August 31, 1952 (2nd matchday) in a 3-1 home win against Eintracht Frankfurt and scored his first goal in his sixth league game on March 21, 1953 (26th matchday) in a 4-0 home win against Viktoria Aschaffenburg with the goal to 2-0 in the 30th minute. On the three consecutive match days he was successful five times, with him on the 25th and 27th matchday, in the 4-1 win in the away game against TSG Ulm 1846 and in the 4-2 win in the home game against SV Waldhof Mannheim , each achieved a double goal.
