Hans Müller deck

Hans Müller-Deck (born October 23, 1936 in Lauscha ) is a German judo professor ( Sensei ) who has emerged as a competitive athlete, trainer, official and sports scientist.

Life

From 1954 to 1958, Hans Müller-Deck studied at the German University for Physical Culture (DHfK) in Leipzig . His field of study was a qualified sports teacher specializing in judo ; his teachers were Horst Wolf and Siegmund Haunschild . In 1957, Hans Müller-Deck passed the 1st Dan exam in front of the GDR Dan College .

After that, Müller-Deck worked as a certified sports teacher and judo trainer at the DHfK in Leipzig. In addition, in the 1960s he took on the role of junior coach in the German Judo Association (DJV) and became a member of the Dan examination committee in the DJV. Together with his colleagues Gerhard Lehmann , Manfred Michelmann and Wolfgang Schneider , he worked out the basics of the nage-no-kata and the katame-no-kata . He published these on behalf of the DJV in 1966 as teaching and examination material for Dan exams in the Dan brochure . In addition, Müller-Deck, as a DJV junior trainer with Gerhard Lehmann and Willi Lorbeer, created the training program in the German Judo Association of the GDR, which was binding from 1969 .

As a sports scientist at the DHfK, Hans Müller-Deck received his doctorate in 1972. paed. and completed his habilitation in 1983 with the topic: Training principles for the development of technical-tactical combat operations in judo - a contribution to the theory and methodology of technical-tactical training in combat sports . After his habilitation , he was appointed university lecturer for theory and methodology of training in martial arts at the Research Institute for Martial Arts in Leipzig. There he headed the Judo research group and was deputy director for research organization. In addition, Müller-Deck was head of the scientific center and vice-president of competitive sports at the DJV. From 1991 he held the position of sports coordinator in the Austrian Judo Association (ÖJV).

Hans Müller-Deck is the author of numerous sports science publications as well as textbooks and translations from English, Russian and Japanese. In 2000 he was awarded the 9th Dan for his practical and scientific work in sport .

Competition successes

At the European Student Championships in France in 1958, Hans Müller-Deck won the silver medal in the middleweight division . As judoka of the SC DHfK Leipzig, he was 1960 GDR light heavyweight champion. Müller-Deck was also one of the national selection of the DJV at the Judo European Championships in 1960 in Amsterdam.
