Hans Müller (born October 17, 1898 in Erbendorf ; † March 11, 1974 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After attending primary school , Müller, who was a Roman Catholic , first completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and then worked in this profession , interrupted by two years of military service in the First World War . From 1929 to 1933 he made his way as an unskilled worker and then in 1933 started his own business as a coal trader. In the course of 1933 he was briefly imprisoned by the National Socialists for political reasons. In the Second World War he was a soldier again. After the end of the war he rebuilt his coal business.

Müller had been a member of the SPD since 1919. From 1925 to 1933 he was chairman of the SPD in Erbendorf. In 1945 he became chairman of the SPD district association in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district .

Müller was already a city councilor in Erbendorf from 1924 to 1928. In 1946 he was re-elected to the city council. Since 1948 he was also a member of the district council in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1953 to 1965 and was always elected from the Bavarian state list.
