Hans Maria Fuchs (born March 24, 1874 in Cologne , † October 28, 1933 in Sankt Peter im Sulmtal ) was an Austrian doctor , fossil collector and local researcher .

Fuchs worked as a community and spa doctor in Vöslau until 1918 . During the First World War he was employed as a senior physician and head of a medical train in Bosnia . In the area around Vöslau he collected fossil mollusks from the Young Tertiary . His collection is now in the Natural History Museum Vienna. In 1918 he moved to Sankt Peter im Sulmtal in Styria , where he worked as a company doctor and dedicated himself to agriculture. Here he dealt with the folklore of the Sulmtal .
