Hans Maur

Hans Maur (* 1932 or 1933 ) is a German historian.

After studying history, he received his doctorate in 1970 in Dresden on the subject of the political leadership of the SED party organization in the establishment of the combine "Black Pump" up to the 5th congress of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany . This was followed by a position as head of the labor movement memorials department in the Museum of German History in East Berlin . In the GDR he published numerous titles on German workers' history and on anti-fascist memorials and memorials, including bibliographies, according to his field of work.

Since retiring, he has dedicated himself to the local history of Berlin-Karow . He publishes his research results in his own series.
