Hans Mehlhorn

Johannes Richard "Hans" Mehlhorn (born January 15, 1900 in Aue ; † July 2, 1983 ) was a German bobsleigh driver .

In 1928, Hans Mehlhorn from BC Oberhof , who had already received his doctorate, won the German championship title in the five-man bobsleigh driven by Otto Griebel . Four years later at the 1932 Olympic Games in Lake Placid Mehlhorn belonged as a brakeman for Bobsled by Hanns Kilian . In the line-up of Hanns Kilian, Max Ludwig , Hans Mehlhorn and Sebastian Huber , the German bobsleigh took third place behind two US bobsleighs, with a gap of more than four seconds on silver. The fourth placed Swiss were more than twelve seconds behind the German bobsleigh.
