Hans Micheiloff

Hans Micheiloff (born June 2, 1936 in Dinklage ; † 1993 ) was a German table tennis player . He was two-time German champion in doubles.

Micheiloff achieved his greatest successes while he was a member of VfL Osnabrück , which he joined in 1965. With this club he became German team champions in 1965/66 and 1967/68. In 1968/69 he won the German Cup with Osnabrück.

At the national German championships he won doubles in 1968 and 1969 together with Bernt Jansen . From 1966 to 1968 he finished third in a row three times in a row.

Between 1964 and 1968 Micheiloff completed 17 international matches. He played his first in March 1964 in Hilversum against the Netherlands, where he won his individual. He took part in the World Championships in 1965 and 1969 . In 1969 he reached the quarterfinals with Bernt Jansen in doubles, which were lost against the Japanese Kohno / Itoh . In 1966 and 1968 he was invited to the European Championship , where he reached the quarter-finals in doubles in 1966.

In the mid-1970s he left VfL Osnabrück and joined the TSG Burg Gretesch club . In 1975 Micheiloff was honored because he was represented at all North German championships until then.

Micheiloff sang as a tenor in operas. At times he also ran a sporting goods store. He lived in Osnabrück. In 1993 he died after an illness.

Micheiloff's nephew Klaus-Dieter Micheiloff was a major league player at TuS Engter and VfL Osnabrück in the 1970s.
