Harvey Patton

Harvey Patton (born June 24, 1923 in Breslau ; † July 4, 1994 in Cologne ; real name Hans Peschke ) was a German writer and science fiction author.

Life

After school, Hans Peschke accepted a position as a servant to the count and signed up for the Air Force in 1941. After deployments on the Eastern Front and returning from captivity , he worked in various professions, including as a worker in the federal railway, waiter in the dining car and in the textile processing industry.

Through his love for science fiction literature, Peschke finally began writing stories for fan magazines himself. This eventually led to it in 1964 under the Verlagspseudonym W. Brown with maze cosmos published his first novel. In the following years he sporadically wrote more stories until the early 1970s when the science fiction author Kurt Brand became aware of him and was able to win him over to work on the SF series Spaceship Promet .

In 1973 Peschke wrote the first novel for the TERRA ASTRA series under the pseudonym Harvey Patton . In 1975 he joined the team of authors for the Atlan series and a short time later for the team of Perry Rhodan authors. Nevertheless, only one Perry-Rhodan booklet was published from his pen, Die Körperlosen von Grosocht (Volume 747), as well as six Perry-Rhodan paperbacks, whereas he wrote 30 novels for the Atlan series. In the Commander Scott series, he published five novels under the collective pseudonym Gregory Kern.

In addition, Peschke wrote other science fiction and horror novels both under the pseudonym Harvey Pearson and under his real name.

Most recently, the author lived on social welfare in Cologne with bad health. He died on July 4, 1994 at the age of 71 in Cologne.
