Hans Poetschki

Hans Poetschki (born January 14, 1928 in Walsum ; † September 30, 1997 ) was a German politician and honorary district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, he studied from 1951 to 1953 at the Pedagogical Academy in Oberhausen . He then worked in the school service, most recently as rector .

He was married and had three children.

MP

From 1984 to 1989 Poetschki was a member of the 2nd European Parliament .

He was a member of the district council of the former Steinfurt district from 1966 to 1974 and, after the regional reform, from 1975 to October 16, 1984.

Poetschki was from November 22, 1969 until the regional reform on December 31, 1974 and then from May 23, 1975 to October 16, 1984 district administrator of the Steinfurt district.

He was active in various committees of the district assembly of North Rhine-Westphalia .

On May 24, 1985 Poetschki was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon and on May 21, 1985 the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class. On November 7, 1996 he was awarded the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia . In Emsdetten , Hans-Poetschki-Straße was named after him.
