Hans Rausing
Hans Rausing KBE (born March 25, 1926 in Stockholm , Sweden ; † August 30, 2019 in Wadhurst , East Sussex , United Kingdom ) was an entrepreneur and the son of Tetra Pak founder Ruben Rausing .
Ever since he sold his stake in Tetra Pak to his brother Gad Rausing for $ 7 billion in 1996, Hans Rausing has been considered one of the richest people in the world . He was listed as the 96th richest person in the world by Forbes Magazine in 2017 with an estimated personal fortune of $ 12.5 billion.
In 2001, Hans Rausing joined the Swedish company EcoLean as the main investor. Like Tetra Laval, this is active in the packaging industry.
Rausing lived in his adopted home England, in Wadhurst, East Sussex, where he owned extensive estates. He was the father of Hans Kristian Rausing , Lisbet Rausing and Sigrid Rausing .
