Hans Rudolf Gysin (born December 29, 1940 in Basel ; resident in Arisdorf ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ) and a former member of the National Council .

Hans Rudolf Gysin belongs since 1987 to the National Council and was thus in his resignation to the 2011 elections out one of the longest serving MPs in the House of Parliament . During this time he belonged to a total of six different commissions. Most recently, however, he was only a member of the delegation for relations with the German Bundestag . Before his national political career, Hans Rudolf Gysin was a member of the district administrator of the canton of Basel-Landschaft from 1979 to 1988 .

Until August 2012, Hans Rudolf Gysin was director of the Basel-Landschaft Chamber of Commerce. He is the father of an adult son.
