Hans Ruppersberg (born August 31, 1889 in Saarbrücken ; † July 4, 1963 there ) was a German lawyer. He was Mayor of Homburg from 1924 to 1935 and Mayor of Neunkirchen from 1935 to 1946 .

Life

Hans Ruppersberg grew up as the son of Saarbrücken homeland researcher and university professor Albert Ruppersberg . After completing his legal training, Hans Ruppersberg was legal counsel for the Ottweiler district . From 1924 to 1935 he was mayor of Homburg. On August 29, 1935, after Georg Blank's dismissal, he was appointed mayor of Neunkirchen on the recommendation of the NSDAP . During his term of office he participated in the dismantling of democratic structures in the community . He was also responsible for the National Socialist work measures. He was responsible for building air raid systems for the civilian population. He was also significantly involved in the conversion of the former Furpach estate into a residential area.

Ruppersberg was drafted into the Wehrmacht on February 19, 1940 and could no longer carry out his office. He was therefore represented by changing functionaries. The US occupation appointed his predecessor mayor after the war. After his departure for health reasons, Friedrich Brokmeier took over the office of mayor. Ruppersberg was not retired until September 30, 1946.

In 1954, Ruppersberg built the city archive there on behalf of the city of Homburg .
