Hans Schihan

Hans Schihan , also Johann Schihan , (born July 23, 1887 in Knoppen (municipality of Pichl-Kainisch ); † December 1988 in Braunau am Inn ) was an Austrian architect and local politician .

Live and act

In 1929 the place where he worked as an architect was given as Ried im Innkreis (city or district). The Evangelical Church of the Redeemer, built in Mauerkirchen by expellees, was built in 1960 based on his design. He was himself a Protestant and from 1961 to 1967 mayor of Mauerkirchen. In 1923 he was a founding member of the Innviertel artists' guild .
