Hans Speidel (District Administrator)
Hans Speidel (born February 28, 1900 in Schlatt ; † May 5, 1984 in Hechingen ) was a German lawyer and local politician .
Career
Speidel completed his studies in history and law in Freiburg, Tübingen and Frankfurt in 1930 with a doctorate from the University of Freiburg . He did his legal clerkship in Frankfurt, Cologne and Berlin. He then worked as a lawyer in Cologne from 1929 to 1940 . From 1940 to 1946 he worked as a lawyer and notary in Schlatt . On August 24, 1946 he became district administrator for the district of Hechingen . He remained in office until September 29, 1966.
In 1970, the Schlatt community made Hans Speidel an honorary citizen. Speidel had been a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Hercynia Freiburg im Breisgau since 1921 .
