Hans Steil

Hans Steil (born January 31, 1895 in Ritterhude ; † March 16, 1979 in Bremen ) was a German foreman, head of office and politician ( SPD ).

biography

Steil was the son of a blacksmith and he too learned this trade. In 1913 he joined the SPD. In the First World War he served as a soldier. Between the world wars he worked as a foreman at the Harbor Building Authority Bremen and as a wagon master in the Reichsbahn . From 1923 to 1933 he was a member of the parish council of St. Magnus . From 1939 to 1944 he was a soldier again, now in World War II .

In 1945 he resumed his activities in the SPD. He was elected from 1946 to 1963 as a member of the Bremen citizenship and was vice-president of the citizenship from 1955 to 1959. From 1948 to 1960 he was the head of the Bremen district - Burglesum . From 1969 to 1975 he was chairman of the Lesum Heimatverein .

Honors

2,015 new trainer has been in the district Lesum, Lesum Park , the Hans-pitched street named after him.
